I've spent my entire adult life in the service business. Primarily in the computer field servicing everything from electronic typewriters and copiers in the early days to large computer systems and large scale data storage systems. The last eight years have been doing this primarily but in a more 'fire fighting' role for the corporation I work for globally. Problems can range from product issues to customer issues with the product...so it can be a wide ranging situation that we are sent in to resolve.
There have been many varied situations that I've been in, but have always felt there are good and bad ways to handle a customer. Going above and beyond is at the top of that list. This is one of the things that I will try to share with you. Providing the best in customer service which will lead to more business and making yourself and your customer that much more successful.
I will also point you to some of the smartest folks in the business, my favorite being Tom Peters and also provide links to other sources of motivation and inspiration. So let's start off and see about making you and your customers successful.
