As Deepak Chopra defined it; boldness is the ability to step outside boundaries created by fear and insecurity. A very tough thing to do when you have a large amount of fear in your life of failure, of repercussion, or one of a hundred things we allow to stall our life.
Fear and insecurity are things that we allow to control our life. If you choose to remain afraid, hiding in a dark corner, that is a choice.
Yet being bold frees you from that dark corner. It comes with risk but life itself is risk. Be bold in all that you do and experience the freedom it gives you.
