Can I Have a Penny
“And that is how change happens. One gesture. One person. One moment at a time.” ― Libba Bray
There are many who might believe there was no humor during Greek times.
Mortal: What is a million years like to you?
Zeus: Like one second.
Mortal: What is a million dollars like to you?
Zeus: Like one penny.
Mortal: Can I have a penny?
Zeus: Just a second...
Nothing in life will necessarily come easy, nor will it come quickly. The idea is to keep moving forward. Change will occur and all you have to do is take the steps that walk you through the open door.
An open door has "Changed Lives" for many others.
Change yours and experience a great life.
Stay inspired my friends.

Being Serious
“There are things that are so serious that you can only joke about them.”
― Werner Heisenberg
Time to poke a little fun at myself and positive thinking.
It is much easier to be a negative thinker. That path takes no effort. To complain and worry and suffer your ills constantly requires no effort.
We must remember never to under-estimate the benefits of having a positive attitude. Being able to motivate oneself is not easy. To remain positive and keep motivating yourself and others requires work.
The rewards of being positive are much greater than the 'nothing' you will receive by being negative.
So enjoy this bit of humor which comes from the fun and inspirational folks at Despair. Visit their website and check out other great "demotivational" posters that really do help you to "stay inspired."

Have You Noticed
“Through humor, you can soften some of the worst blows that life delivers. And once you find laughter, no matter how painful your situation might be, you can survive it.” -Bill Cosby
During your daily routine, life will confront you with various circumstances. Life will place you in conditions that may not be comfortable or something you are happy to be in. It could be news of a medical or financial condition; either of which will have a major impact on your life. There might be small things that seem to simply bother us. A co-worker that is always too loud, a flat tire or a leaking faucet.
The big and small things in life will always occur.
How we deal with each of these situations will determine our happiness. Humor can help ease the condition. Humor can help ease the stress that comes with the pain. Try it sometime, try laughing about it and moving on. Diffuse your frustration and do not allow the situation to sidetrack your day.
And the next time you are driving down the road and get frustrated with traffic, remember what George Carlin said, “Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?” We all have to put ourselves into perspective and get on with more important things in life.
Stay inspired my friends!

Walk the Distance
"Everywhere is within walking distance if you have the time." -Steven Wright
Recently I had a Twitter exchange with @LaughNYC. Originally he had tweeted, "I've got a frog in my mouth and it's making me horse <----lots of animals going on in there." And being the wise guy that I can sometimes be retweeted it with the comment, "Galloping frogs legs Batman!"
Humor, dry at times or outright guffaws, has a place in our life. It is a way to ease the tension and a way to simply make you feel good. Humor can make a point about life in a light hearted way. Or it can be very piercing and spirited in the punch line.
Either way, humor has its place in our life. As noted by the comedian Steven Wright, the road we are on is long, but only if we have enough time to walk its length. His dry wit has always amused me but his point is well taken. You can get to any place that you want by walking; that is if you have enough time.
Achieving our dreams or goals are just as achievable. You simply need to have enough time and persistance to get to them. But it means getting up now and moving towards it. That along with time and a little humor will get you most anywhere you want.
